Dance Lessons We Offer

Foxtrot- Foxtrot dancers travel around the perimeter of the room in a counterclockwise direction in a basic rhythm of slow-slow-quick-quick. Still a classic dance for wedding receptions, the Foxtrot is a true American favorite.

Waltz- Waltz is a smooth progressive dance characterized by long, flowing movements, continuous turn, and rise & fall. Graceful and elegant, Waltz dancers glide around the floor almost effortlessly.

Tango- Tango is a sensual, dramatic dance known for flexing steps and posed pauses. Widely considered the “dancer’s dance,” it has become even more popular due to its presence in films like “The Scent of a Woman” and “Evita.”

Swing- Swing is not a single dance, but rather a family of related dances. Back in the good old days of Elvis Presley and Chuck Berry, the East Coast Swing originated as a simple 6-count triple step dance. Danced to a wide variety of music, you can  “swing” to almost anything!

Nightclub Two Step- Nighclub Two Step (not to be confused with Country-Western Two-Step), is one of the most practical and versatile social dances ever conceived.  It is designed to be used with contemporary soft rock.  This type of music is common just about everwhere: nightclubs, radio, etc.

Hustle- The 1970s was the time to do the Hustle!  The Hustle is a fast moving, energetic dance characterized by its many turns.  Although disco has come and gone, the hustle is here to stay!

Cha-Cha –Cha-Cha is a rhythmical Latin dance, which originated in the 1940s as a modified form of Mambo. It’s fun, energetic, sexy and flirtatious, easily distinguished form other dances by its addictive “step, step, Cha Cha Cha” rhythm.

Rumba-Steamy! Slow and romantic, the Rumba is the most sensual of the Latin dances. Couples dance very closely together, using their body language to express emotion between them.  The Rumba is sometimes referred to as the “Dance of Love” because couples stare deeply into each other’s eyes while they dance.

Salsa/Mambo- Salsa is a Spanish word, which when translated literally means “sauce” Hot, spicy, and full of exotic Latin flavor, the dance Salsa is true to its name.  People from around the world flock to nightclubs to take part in the music, the movement, and the experience that is Salsa.

Samba- The spirited Samba always gets feet tapping! The Samba is characterized by a steady bounce in 2/4 meter achieved by flexing and straightening the knees. This happy and bouncy dance is always fun!
